Dyspraxia is an important building block to academic, athletic and social-emotional proficiency. This 3-day online workshop will include the theory of different sub-categories of Dyspraxia and explain the background in the nervous system. Multiple techniques and interventions (top down and bottom up) will be shared in order to plan intervention. The second day will cover in-depth information on assessment and clinical observations following the three-phase system of Maude’s own Developmental Pathways Model (DPM). This is a workshop not to be missed for anyone working in the field of pediatrics, schools, and early learning. Discover how Dyspraxia influences learning, attention and executive functioning. Occupational, Physical and Speech Language Therapists, who attend all three days, will receive a certificate of Intermediate competency in Dyspraxia.

Bio: Maude Le Roux is an occupational therapist with an extensive following of professionals across the globe. She has been providing courses in the Phillipines for the past 3 years. She studies human development in different capacities of growth; spanning ages and stages, neuroanatomy, assessment tools as well as current trends of intervention. She completed the SIPT training in 2002 and Sensory Integration forms the foundation from which she continues to develop different tracks of assessment and intervention.Maude is certified in multiple different techniques that she applies uniquely through her Developmental Pathways Model (DPM). She owns and directs a clinical practice in Glen Mills, PA, where she has a team of dedicated professionals, many of whom had been with her over 10 years as well as being with her since inception of her practice in 2001. Her requirement for practice is a warm, embracing atmosphere operated through clinical expertise and professionalism that will provide quality of care to all entering her practice.She gives back to her community by serving on different boards and currently serves on the Board of Directors for ATTACh, a national organization dedicated to serve families and children with attachment related difficulties and trauma informed care. She co-authored the book “Our Greatest Allies” in 2011 with Lauren O’Malley describing the journey of one autistic child.

It was a great pleasure to gain the knowledge of our lecturer Maude Le Roux. Participating in the course gave me a general view of Dyspraxia and holistic view to the speech and language disorders and to learning difficulties as well. I work in the Day Center with children who have ASD and other developmental disorders, communication and praxis difficulties. Also, I work at school with children who experience learning difficulties. Sometimes I feel that the deeper reasons should be considered to help the children and sometimes the essence of the problem is not revealed. During the course I experienced and found out several very important points of view, which encouraged me to dig deeper when evaluating the situation of the person and providing professional help for him or her.
