Dyspraxia and the DPM Model

When: April 29, 30, May 2, 3 2024

Description

This 4-day workshop will include the theory of different sub-categories of Dyspraxia and explain the background in the nervous system. Multiple techniques and interventions (top down and bottom up) will be shared in order to plan intervention. The second day will cover in-depth information on assessment and clinical observations following the three-phase system of Maude’s own Developmental Pathways Model (DPM). This is a workshop not to be missed for anyone working in the field of pediatrics, schools, and early learning. Discover how Dyspraxia influences learning, attention and executive functioning.

Continuing Education

For a period of 8 weeks after the workshop the speaker will arrange once bi-weekly online meetings (4 sessions in total) for those course participants who would like more immersion in practical application. During these sessions (2 hours each time) unlimited participants could attend, though they would have to commit for the full duration and be prepared to share their case studies. These case studies would consist of 4 to 6-minute video clips of their case as well as a PowerPoint discussing the case. A template would be provided to assist the ease of presentation and disclosure of confidentiality would be signed to protect themselves and their clients. These videos would not be posted anywhere on a public forum, but only shared from their own desktop during the presentation and then be removed. Case immersion is the best way to truly integrate all the information learnt and the online platform used can accommodate unlimited persons. The actual dates and times can be a mutual decision between speaker and group to be determined. The Speaker has her own online academy through which these training would occur and all will occur through the website of www.maudeleroux.com

Assessment: Completion of Feedback Form
