Building Effective Executive Functioning Skills

When: December 6 and 7, 2025  (In Person)

Location: Manila, Philippines

Description

Executive functions are the mental processes that allow us to plan, focus, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. While we expect students to have developed these skills by a young age, many face challenges in organization, time management, task persistence, and emotional regulation—key components of executive functioning. Despite the central role these skills play in academic, social, and professional success, there is often no structured curriculum to explicitly teach them.

This two-day workshop will explore the fundamental executive functions required to thrive in the classroom, workplace, and everyday life. We will delve into the role of early childhood development and sensory processing in shaping executive function abilities, and how these factors impact learning and performance. Participants will gain access to an executive functioning assessment questionnaire tool and gain hands-on experience with a variety of sensory, motor, and developmental activities designed to support adaptive functioning in both classroom and social settings.

Suitable for educators, therapists, and anyone working with students or individuals of all ages and abilities, this workshop offers practical techniques that can be implemented immediately. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to enhance executive functioning skills, foster greater independence, and support positive outcomes across multiple environments.

This workshop is ideal for professionals working with individuals across different diagnostic categories and age groups, providing valuable tools for improving executive function performance in both academic and social contexts.
