Description:
This practical workshop series will support the discerning clinician to feel equipped with multiple strategies and activities in support of effective intervention. The developing brain plays a substantial role in occupational performance as a school student or as an adult in the workplace, including the essence of obtaining a balanced lifestyle. Theory and Assessment will only have a brief mention as this was covered more extensively in Track 1 and 2. The focus will be on scaffolding sequential layers of developmental progression to impact the neural networks in support of attention and executive functions. The ability to monitor our own work and stay in pace with others while inhibiting distractions will be a special feature in session 2 as self-regulation and impulsivity impacts strongly on the ability to self-reflect. Sensory integration is an evidence-based model that is highly impactful in multiple components concerning ADHD and executive functions. Accommodation and remediation strategies will be considered throughout, and multiple activities will be highlighted through video. Track 3 is the conclusion of the 3-track series in ADHD and Executive Functioning and will deliver what the attendee has been waiting for.
