Description: This 4-session recorded course will demystify the different components necessary to consider in the variety of aspects considering the act of writing. As one of the classic referrals for occupational therapy assessment and intervention, we take a closer look at the different components that actually impact on efficient handwriting skill, as well as including handwriting skill in written expression assignments such as essays. As we are transitioning more and more into replacing typing for actual handwriting, we will also look at what the research really says about this. This course will cover theory, but also assessment and practical tips within each session. The professional will feel empowered to look deeper and the parent will feel more equipped in understanding this complicated developmental capacity.
