This one hour recorded webinar will enhance the viewers’ understanding of the first love relationship between a mother and a baby and how this connects to early development as well to relationships later in life. It is difficult not to smile when watching a mother and a baby create their own language through the practice of “motherese”. The baby reciprocates mother’s communication with intense interest and the first beginnings of bonding and attachment sets the tone for trust, safety and security in all relationships forward. The participant will go through older and current research articles with regards to the importance of the mother’s voice and discuss how this aspect can be included in the therapy process today. Parents will be provided tips and ideas for easing this process into beginning or difficult relationships. Professionals will gain understanding of translating this work into clinical practice.
