Date: Thursday, March 13, 2025, 9am - 4pm GMT+2 (Johannesburg, South Africa time zone) through virtual platform
Description: Can you picture a tree in your mind? What kind of tree is it? Would your tree be a different tree than the one I am imagining? Picture thinking, visualization forms a foundation for imagination, creativity, having new ideas, knowing what next to do. So many students with developmental delay struggle to come up with a next idea which can both relate to praxis difficulties, though also bridge into the creativity centers of their minds. Poverty of development in this rich area not only stunts ideation and creativity but locks a student into the here and now as well as disenables them to consider the thoughts and feelings of others, also prohibiting the important relational quality of empathy. Join us on this packed day to discover how this develops and discuss ideas for intervention!
Recordings will be posted for 60 days after the live sessions in support of ongoing learning. PPT handouts accompany each session. If your time zone does not allow you to attend live, register anyway and watch the recordings on demand for 60 days.
