Description:
Following on Track 1 on Theory regarding ADHD and executive Functioning Skills, this short webinar series will support the therapist and educator to follow the necessary complexity of evaluating neurodiverse students in a holistic way to form a “whole” learning profile. Critical thinking will be discussed through the analysis of standardized tests as well as normed clinical observations. Connections are made between the student’s developmental profile and the symptoms concerning ADHD, including prioritizing starting goals of intervention. Both lengthier as well as shortened evaluations will be discussed especially considering therapists and educators operating under time constraints. Attendees will also obtain an Executive Functioning Checklist and Sensori-Motor History created by the Academy that they will be able to re-use without re-purchasing. This series is aimed at being practical in support of clinical thinking, which would include forming a working hypothesis to support effective intervention.
