Play the Floortime Way – Looking deeper at the Dr. Greenspan Model – Recording

Description

Whether you have been exposed to the Floortime model or not, these 6 recorded sessions will open your eyes to the wonderful world of development through play. Play is the child’s occupation, their “brain” exercise into the process of “growing up”. The parent and professional will explore the different social-emotional milestones together with a myriad of ideas to harness fuller potential in any child with any diagnosis. Maude takes the listener deeper into the world of the developing learner and adds the strengths, opportunities, and possible pitfalls that need to be negotiated. She holds by two different mantras’: “If the child could, he/she would” as well as “If typical development was good enough for the typically developing child, it will be good enough for the atypically developing child”. Explore the possibilities of social perspective-taking, building “Theory of Mind” and developing a complex thinker. Look at behavior as a cue of communication that we could use to drive understanding and further potential. This recorded course is a “must have” for every parent and every therapist. The techniques are described across the age spectrum from early to later development.
