Description
“It is not academically relevant.” “It is a waste of precious time.” “We need to rather catch up on academics.” “We need to focus on Social Skills.” “We need to change behavior first”. If you are making any of these statements or hear others say this, then this 4-session recorded course is for you. In a world where we over-focus on product (what we can see), while we underestimate the value of “process” (how we plan it), we are also seeing ever increasing numbers of children who have “behaviors”. We also see a strong correlation between children with behavioral difficulties, that did not get to the kind of play they needed in order to develop regulatory and plan-full skill. These 4 sessions will allow the participant to get a better grasp on how to understand the value of play, but also use play to gain access to the child’s mind, emotion and skill. Play is the language of the child and when used correctly, it actually goes “quicker”, for those who have a frame of mind of “catching up”! It is also more fun for everyone, parents and professionals.
