Sensory Modulation and Emotional Regulation The How and What of Behavior – Recording

Description:

This 5 session workshop was recorded from a one day event and will look deeper at the mechanics of sensory modulation and how this overlap with emotional regulation. Literature from an occupational therapy perspective as well as from the mental health perspective will be included. Maude will also cover how modulation/regulation requires change across the developmental continuum as children mature through different stages. The same behavior may not be triggered for the same reasons any longer. The impact of human behavior, attachment styles and trauma will be an added feature of discussion. This workshop will help the participant to “chase the why” to know at what level to intervene with the best effect over a shorter space of time.

Outline / Agenda:

Session 1         Sensory Modulation
Session 2         Emotional Regulation
Session 3         Attachment and Trauma
Session 4         Different stages of modulation/regulation
