LIVE ONLINE
Dates: October 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7, 14, 2024 (Thursdays from 2 to 3.30pm US ET)
Description: What is ADHD really? How does it manifest in the developmental continuum? Are medicine and behavioral interventions truly the only answer? Why are the numbers increasing in pediatric and adult populations? Join us as we look at the different characteristics of ADHD and the developmental aspects that may contribute to assessment and intervention.
This first track will cover current theory and research surrounding ADHD while considering the impact on occupational function, academics, social and executive functioning skills. Clinical reasoning behind working memory, being distracted and processing speed will be considered as we take an in-depth look at the developmental considerations. Manifestations such as impulsivity and inattention will be included as we also take a closer look at dysgraphia and executive functioning skills such as planning and organization.
